Lufthansa Technik is operating a 5G network from Nokia that is providing reliable pervasive wireless connectivity in its Hamburg MRO facility. 5G supports high bandwidth low latency communication that enables innovative use cases today and in the future, leaving limitations of today´s solutions based on Wi-Fi behind. These new use cases help reduce costs, improve productivity, support environmental sustainability, and more. The 5G network has already proven to ensure business continuity with the ‘Virtual Table Inspection’ application in the last months while the industry is impacted by the current operating climate.
