Industry pathways to net zero: Decarbonisation in energy and utilities
The energy and utilities sector is the driving source of power across the economy. It accounts for approximately 12% of CO2
emissions worldwide, with geographic variation according to differences in domestic energy supply, the rate of economic growth and political environment. As energy and utilities are the lifeblood of how we live and work, decarbonising this industry and shifting to clean fuels will play a fundamental role in a successful path to net zero.
